Responsible at senior management level for several high-profile events including royal banquets and sporting events e.g. The Ryder and Solheim Cups in addition to large televised award events.
Having spent 6 years with DeVere Hotels, initially as food and beverage manager in the prestigious 5-star Cameron House Hotel, his leadership skills led to promotion as Operations Manager. Recognition of his leadership qualities then led to the role of General Manager in Scotland’s largest hotel with 300 bedrooms and a banqueting operation for up to 1100 guests were common place.
Don has received many awards and commendations for business acumen, consistent approach to team development and customer service.
Under his stewardship many of the properties managed by Don reached an enviable position of being recognised as best in their class.
His consistent delivery of excellent standards and unquestionable approach to first class customer service has earned him the respect of colleagues and team members alike, throughout the hospitality industry.
