Martin’s new role is all about supporting hotel general managers with their business strategy, as well as looking after their personal management development.

Martin brings a unique skill set to 7H after successful careers in both the hotel industry and Higher Education.

He created and led the Scottish Centre of Tourism in The Robert Gordon University, and as part of the senior team in the Aberdeen Business School held the brief for staff development.

Richard Ellison, 7H Founder & Managing Director commenting on the appointment:

“I’ve known and respected Andrew for many years, since we both sat round the table at the Aberdeen City and Shire Hotel Association.
We anticipate significant growth in 2024 and therefore identify that there is a need for us to support and develop our hotel general managers to allow them to be even more adaptable and dynamic in the changing economic landscape.

Andrew is the right man for this role. I think that it’s vitally important that we can show our hotel investment partners that we’re serious about investing in our hotel leaders”.

In 2024 we are set to double our hotel portfolio in the UK with consideration for an operating platform in other countries in current planning stages.

“I’m delighted to have joined 7H and am genuinely exciting to be part of a company with significant growth prospects. It’s also a great team.

7H has a head-office (or centre as I prefer to refer to it), based in central Scotland, with the hotel managers managing in their own business environments. I’m here now to support the hotel managers be successful in their markets. It’s my ideal job, one I’ve been training for throughout my career”.

7H are a full-service hotel operational and asset management company, offering our clients a hybrid option for their hospitality real estate investment.
